Havurot: Home Groups

It has been wisely said that at larger congregational gatherings we draw close to “God most high,” but during the smaller group experience, we draw close to “God most nigh.” How true!  Real, sustainable spiritual growth occurs in the small group context where we can “let down our hair” with one another — pray for one another, bear one another’s burdens, encourage one another and rejoice with one another. We are all “leaky vessels” and the spiritual injection we receive once a week at our corporate gathering is simply not enough to sustain us and keep us on track. We encourage you to become a part of a small group in your area.  Don’t let laziness (“the flesh”), lack of opportunity, misplaced priorities or a “loner mentality” keep you from this blessing — and call from our Lord!

They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts…” (Acts 2:42b)
